The Transalpine Run 2024 from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Lake Reschen in South Tyrol was announced in advance as one of the toughest and most spectacular in its 19-year history – and it lived up to this reputation in full. Demanding trails, magnificent landscapes, challenging downhills, mandatory helmets on some stages, plus heat, rain, cold and snow – the TAR demanded everything from the runners. In the end, after 250 kilometers and over 15,000 meters of altitude, a total of 455 runners were proud to call themselves finishers of the Transalpine Run. This corresponds to a finisher rate of approx. 82 percent.
